Subsea Protection

Offshore Marine provide subsea cable and scour protection services to the submarine cable and renewable energy markets world-wide. Suitable cost effective vessel solutions are sought and provided complete with a full product installation spread, ROV/ diving system and integrated survey/ digital video suite.

Offshore Marine have considerable experience in subsea cable and scour protection systems and solutions. These are engineered and installed for general cable/ product protection and support for the likes of engineering designed bridging and minimum separation at crossings, cable entry points to subsea structures/ assets, cable freespans, minimum cable protection between plough transition and cable entry etc., as well as for scour protection and prevention around turbine subsea foundations.

Offshore Marine’s experience, resources, assets and alliances allows them to provide a turn key subsea cable protection service to their client base from project management, preparation, vessels/ craft, equipment, survey & subsea positioning, environmental impact analysis, ROV spread, diving services & equipment etc... to final client deliverables.

OMM provide fully competent and highly experienced superintendents, deck supervisors, back deck/ bosun/ rigging, ROV, diving, environmental and survey teams for these types of operations.

All operations are competently project managed and delivered by OMM with all final reporting, charting, digital video and data (GIS) deliverables being of the highest quality.

Mattress Installation

OMM provide MIF (Mattress Installation Frame) equipment for the installation and subsea positioning of link-lock, concrete and bitumen mattresses for cable protection requirements, utilising ROV intervention or top side hydraulic release.

Eco Bags

OMM provide the latest in high tech and environmentally friendly geotextile erosion and protection systems. The Eco bags are used for support, protection and also for scour prevention . Bags are of various sizes and filled topside for diver installation to fill subsea excavations and provide support to products. Large consolidation bags are pre manufactured to design and filled subsea and pinned to hold the smaller bags in position and offer further protection to the subsea product/assets over the expanse of the required area. This same principle is used to fill areas of scour around subsea turbine foundations and negate the process thereafter.

The Eco bags attract marine life, flora and fauna due to there textile makeup and therefore are environmentally advantageous for offshore wind farm utilisation which are historically in areas of environmental and conservational interest.

Articulated Piping

Articulated piping or split piping are cast iron protection systems that are fitted to the cable/ product by divers subsea to offer full protection.
