You will have overall financial control of the project /package’s contracts including approving all contractor invoices, variation orders and claims. 

You will act as the Company’s legal representative in relation to the administration of the allocated supply contract for the offshore wind farm project.

An understanding and experience of the energy industry and the offshore engineering and construction industry from a technical and commercial perspective is preferred.

The job role will include the following:

1. Develop a Project/Package Execution Plan (PEP) and gain the understanding and ‘buy-in’ of the package team to ensure compliance.
2. Manage the project/package schedule, progress, NPV and expenditure against budget.
3. Set project/package objectives and KPIs and promote an awareness of these within the package team to ensure that the success criteria of the project/package is well understood and accepted by the package team.
4. Build and safeguard relationships with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring they receive regular status reports.
5. Manage the overall project communications plan to ensure that the package team, which is geographically spread, is able to work together effectively.
6. Ensure strong health, safety and environment (HSE) performance through compliance with Centrica policy and legislation and application of industry best practice.
7. Assume the role of Principal Contractor under the 2007 CDM Regulations.
8. Ensure that interfaces between key packages/contractors have been identified and are managed appropriately.
9. Ensure that the package team is adequately and appropriately resourced and has the skills necessary for effective performance.
10. Ensure a smooth transition from the development phase to the project phase and then again from the project phase to operations.
