To ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
Supervision of transactional finance team.
Ensure compliance of statutory and taxation reporting requirements.

Liaises with stakeholders, clients, potential clients, suppliers and agents.
Key stakeholders are the Company’s managment team, internal purchasers, external suppliers, government bodies (including tax authorities and auditors) and Board.
Supporting the business through effective financial management in order to enable informed and effective decision making.
Manage all aspects of the monthly/annual accounts including balance sheet, P&L, fixed asset register and the provision of monthly/annual management accounts.
Review and analyse monthly actuals, identify key variances, trends, performance issues and liaise with senior staff to highlight and investigate differences.
Responsible for budgeting, and forecasting.
Responsible for financial processes and compliance to Financial Guidelines and the correct use of financial systems including related audits and tax.
Supervise and support cashflow forecasting on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Responsible for ensuring timely HMRC submissions (e.g. VAT, CIS and PAYE, P11D).
Liaise with the Company’s bank, external auditors and others as required.
Secure external audit with no material findings.
Responsible for tax preparation and compliance.
Ensure timely and efficient closing process and submission and review of Monthly Reporting Package.
Liaison with key stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure improved operation.
Provide commercial and financial analysis for the purpose of improvements and operational decision making
Liaise with the Company’s bank, external auditors and others as require
Academic Background & Experience
Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant, with a good knowledge of financial and management accounting preferable
Experience in a similar role, as well as a background in finance
Experience with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups etc)
Working knowledge of Sage Accounting software
Taxation understanding
International SME exposure
Good understanding of statutory requirements

Above and beyond the accounting skills required by the individual for this role, they must have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the business.
