OMS International are looking for an experienced and skilled Tendering Manager who can successfully manage the entire bid process from preparation to final submission.

Management of the bid process including preparation and final submission of all of the Company’s bid documents.
To support as directed the Business Development Manager and Senior Management Team.
Internally this post:
Reports to the Sales Director.
Cooperates directly with other members of the business development (BD, sales & marketing) team, other line managers and staff as required.
Leads all sales personnel.
Externally this post:
Liaises with clients, potential clients, suppliers, agents, distributors, manufacturers, contractors, academia and consultants and other relevant stakeholders.
Primarily responsible for managing the Company’s commercial bidding and tendering for work.
Receives enquiries and bid requests from clients; maintains a bid register thereof.
Issues tender review documentation to the management team for a bid/no-bid decision to be made.
Issues copies of tender documents to the relevant departments, coordinates responses from the various departments and incorporates these into the final tender to be submitted to the client.
Issues subcontractor requests for quotations to third parties during the preparation of any tender in support of the Company’s proposal.
Compiles all final tender documentation and ensures timely submission.
Responsible for all contact and coordination of queries with the client during the tender period
Leads the tender team in any discussions with the client.
In conjunction with the business development team, initiates contacts with clients to develop new business and further enquiries.
Sales Director
Responsible for managing the activity of the sales team. Their primary Duties include setting sales targets, analysing sales data and performing strategic planning for the sales team.
Academic Background & Experience
Survey, Construction Engineering or other relevant and recognised qualification with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
Excellent numerical and Microsoft Office skills.
A working knowledge of offshore operations and sales is essential.
Personal
Eye for detail, accuracy and analytical working are paramount for this key role.
Ability to prioritise workloads, coordinate and organise all bidding tasks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with clients, business development teams, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, agents, distributors as well as internal staff and contractors.
Ability to work effectively with all documentation in conjunction with others.
Ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a fast moving, dynamic team.
Ability to work under pressure, motivate and drive continuous improvement and new ways of working.
Be willing to travel in-country and overseas in order to meet the needs of the role.
